Biography contributed by Sharyn Roberts

AUSTRALIAN GRAVES TENDED AT PORTSMOUTH LONDON, April 27.
At the Portsmouth Anzac service in commemoration of eleven Australians who are buried in the local cemetery a letter was read from the Rev. Tonge, Vicar of Armadale, expressing the appreciation of the kinsfolk of the sixty thousand Australians who died in the war for the kindness and solicitude of the Portsmouth people in caring for the graves of tile Australians in their midst.
