Son of George Darbyshire, 12 Bond Street, Kingsley, near Wakefield, Yorkshire, England

Husband of Mrs. M.A. DARBYSHIRE, Bulli, NSW

Served in Gallipoli, France and was wounded 26 August 1915 and invalided to Malta then to Egypt.  He returned to duty in France and was wounded on a second occasion, recovered and was with his unit at the signing of Armistice.

His brother R DARBYSHIRE served with the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry 12th Battalion and was killed in action 15 October 1917 and is buried at White House Cemetery, Belgium IIB 7
