Warrant Officer James Robert Dodds (Service No:427072) served with the RAAF (Aircraftman I, Leading Aircraftnan, Pilot) from 20 May 1942 to 18 December 1945 and was attached to 22 PTC at Discharge.

Born in 1923 in Fremantle WA, James was the eldest of two children of James (Jim) Dodds (b1893 in Geraldton, WA) and Ada Knox (b1893 in South Australia). Jim served in WWI and was a Cabinetmaker in Fremantle, WA in 1922 when he and Ada (a Typiste) married. Jim and Ada settled in Nedlands in Perth where they raised their family and Jim was a Cabinetmaker.

James worked as a Junior Assistant with the Postmaster General's Department before enlisting in the RAAF. In 1947 - a Civil Servant in Perth WA - he married Frances Stella Anderson (b1925 in Perth, WA). James and Stella settled in Perth where James worked as a Civil Servant. James died in 1981 and Stella in 2022.
