SMITH.—In loving memory of our dear son and brother Roy, who died of wounds some where in France on March 5, 1917. Age 20 years.
May the heavenly winds blow softly,
O'er that sweet and sacred spot;
Though the sea divides his grave from us,
He will never be forgot.
Inserted by his sorrowing father and mother, sisters and brothers, Sawyer's Valley.
SMITH.—In loving memory of our dear brother, Private William Roy Smith, killed in action on March 5 1917. Age 20 years.
Just two years ago to-day
When our dear Roy was called away.
His heart was true, his spirit brave,
His resting place a soldier's grave.
Inserted by his loving sisters and brothers.
SMITH.—In loving remembrance of my dear brother, William Roy Smith, who died somewhere in France on March 5, 1917.
In France's lonely hillside,
Beneath the lonely sod,
There lies our darling Roy
Resting in peace with God.
