Frank's parents were Jacob Herman and Christina Magdalena Murr. Frank attended North Pine State School. He listed his occupation as labourer and was living at Petrie when he enlisted in 4 May 1916. Frank was wounded in action. He married Grace Lear in 1920, they had three children and the family remained in the Pine Rivers area. Frank died age 58 and is buried in the Lawnton Cemetery. Frank's younger brother Walter Robert [5602] enlisted and died from wounds received in action.
