Leading Aircraftman Gerald Arthur Reddin (Service No:82924) enlisted in the RAAF on 20 February 1943 and was attached to 10 Stores Depot when he was Discharged on 11 April 1946. LAC Reddin was one of four brothers (Stanley, Raymond and Keith) who served in WWII.

Born in 1905 in Albany WA, Bill was the third of four children (sons) of William Reddin (b1874 in Albany, WA) and Alice Eliza Pollard (b1874 at Guildford, WA). William (a Boatman) and Alice married in 1900 in Albany WA where they settled and raised their family at the Pilot Station in Albany where William was a Boatman. In the early 1920s the family moved to Perth where William worked as a Labourer.

Bill started work in Perth as a Window Dresser and in 1932 married Mary (Mollie) Vashti Desmond (b1907 in Ravensthorpe, WA). Bill and Mollie settled in Bunbury WA where Bill was a Salesman when he enlisted in the RAAF. They remained in Bunbury following Bill's Discharge and he was Department Manager when they moved to Perth in 1954. Bill and Mollie settled at Joondanna in Perth where Bill was a Salesman.
