Clive Vivian Langdon was the son of Henry Vivian Langdon and his wife Eva. He had a brother Harry, who became a corporal in the RAAF during WW2.
He lived in Kadina South Australia at the time of his enlistment, which was when he was 26 years old.
He worked as a boot repairer and was single.
After he returned to Australia he married Lorna Pearl Wettanell in January 1947, his brother Harry was his best man.
