World War 2 Service

31 Mar 1941: Enlisted Royal Australian Air Force, Warrant Officer, 403918
26 Mar 1943: Imprisoned NAA documents indicate Douglas was a member of a Wellington crew stationed at Luga Malta. The plane did not return from a mission over Italy on 26 Mar 1943. He was subsequently taken prisoner and held as a POW for the duration of the war. It seems he was initially held in an Italian POW camp before being transferred to Stalag 357. On liberation Douglas was returned to England. Douglas is the brother of Rae Reese Frost who was killed in action while returning from a bombing raid over Germany in April 1942.
