Death of Rev. F. W. Harvey
The many friends of the Rev. Mr. Harvey in this district will regret to hear of his death, which occurred in Sydney Friday, 26th Dec. It was known here that Mr. Harvey had been in a precarious state of health for sometime, but the news of his death came quite unexpectedly. We take the following reference to his death from the "S.M. Herald":-
The Rev. Frederick Ward Seddon Harvey, of the Anglican Church, died yesterday in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital at the age of 35 years. Appointed a Y.M.C.A. chaplain during the war, Mr. Harvey proceeded only as far as Durban, when he was compelled to return to Australia on account of illness. In 1919 he was curate at St. Luke's, Concord. That position he held for a year, when he proceeded to Wilcannia, where he was associated with the Bush Church Aid for two years. While at Wilcannia he established the Church of England hostel for the accommodation of children outback. Mr Harvey also laboured at Kyabran, in Victoria, for two years. He returned to Sydney from Victoria a few weeks ago on account of ill health. He has left a widow and two children.
