    Son of Ernest Bruno Otto and Jessie Satchell Mannion formerly Otto nee Spiers of Central Lane, Gladstone, QLD.

    Commenced return to Australia on 16 January 1919 aboard HT City of Exeter disembarking on 2 March 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel by transport to Brisbane

    On 2 June 1920 James married Dorothy Myra Ashcroft in QLD.
