Leading Aircraftman Donald Mckellar Clarke (Service No:61758) served with the RAAF from 13 January 1942 to 20 December 1945 and was attached to 2 Stores Depot at Discharge.

Born in 1907 in Perth WA, Donald was the eldest of three children of Donald Sayers Clarke (b1877 at Macarthur, Victoria) and Miriam Slobom (b1877 in Bendigo, Victoria). Donald Snr (a Clerk) and Miriam married in 1907 in Perth WA, where Donald Snr worked as a Clerk. By 1921 the family had settled at Bondi in Sydney NSW where Donald Snr worked as a Furniture Dealer.

Donald worked as a Clerk and Assistant to a Private Detective, and in 1931 married Ellen Harriet Williams (b1907 in Sydney, NSW) - Ellen was a Saleswoman. Donald and Ellen were Divorced in 1935 and Donald remarried in 1942 to Dulcie Elizabeth Moxon (nee Ogders (b1908 at Tingha, NSW). Donald and Dulcie lived in Singleton, where Donald was Chief Clerk with the Joint Coal Board before returning to Sydney, where they Divorced in 1965. Donald died in 1969.
