Youngest of three brothers who served with the RAAF in WWII, Aircraftman I Stanley Greenwell Berry Walker (Service No:449333) enlisted on 16 March 1944 at No 1 RAAF Recruiting Centre Melbourne - mustered as Trainee Technical. ACI Walker was attached to RAAF Station Point Cook, No 4 Radio School and to 1 School of Technical Training at Discharge on 17 October 1945.

Stan was born in Willaura, Victoria in 1926, youngest of five children of William John Walker (b1881 in Willaura, Victoria) and Sarah Withers (b1883 at Long Gully, Victoria). William and Sarah married in 1913 in Willaura, where they settled and raised their family and William was a Farmer.

Stan was working in Willaura as a Grocer's Assistant in 1944 when he enlisted in the RAAF, and following his Discharge, was a Salesman in Hamilton in 1947 when he married Cora Hatherell (b1923 in Hamilton, Victoria) - Cora was a Saleswoman in Hamilton. Stan and Cora lived in Hamilton, where Stan worked as a Salesman and Manager, before moving to Colac in the late 1950s, where he was a Manager. In the mid 1970s Stan and Cora moved to Melbourne, where Stan was a Manager until his death in 1993. Cora died in 2016.
