Percival was the fifth of six children of Arthur Hill (b1870 in Surrey, England) and Agnes Stewart (b1872 in Inglewood, Victoria). Arthur was a French Polisher when he immigrated and married Agnes in Melbourne, Victoia in 1893. Arthur and Agnes settled in Melbourne, Victoria where Arthur worked as a Printer.
In 1926 Percy was a Poulterer in Melbourne, Victoria when he married Ada (Dolly) Emma McNiff (b1904 at Steiglitz in Victoria. The couple settled in Melbourne where Percy was a Poulterer. He was in Bendigo, Victoria in March 1942 when he enlisted in the RAAF, and was a Leading Aircraftman (Service No:51700) attached to 1 Wireless and Gunnery School when he was Discharged in December 1945.
Settling back in Melbourne, Victoria, Percy worked as a Driver. He died in 1977 and Dolly in 1985.
