Arthur Daniel Bedsor was born on 19 August 1883 at Brisbane, Queensland, a son to Seth Bedsor and Jane Bedsor (nee Fulton). When he enlisted in 1901 in the 5th QIB he noted his N.O.K. as his mother Mrs J. H. Bedsor, Maryborough.
He was twice married. He first married Elizabeth Mary Allen on 31 Oct 1905 in Queensland and they had 2 children. He married for a second time to Edith Eileen Bowden in 1933 at Tamworth New South Wales, and they also had 2 children. He lived in various NSW locations, Tamworth, North Sydney and The Entrance North and worked as a P.M.G. Dept. Line Inspector until he retired.
He served in the South African (Boer) War and again in WW2 (probably home duties). First service was as a Private S.N. 140, 5th Queensland Imperial Bushmen, Boer War. Second Service S.N. N318441 Australian Army, WW2, service record does not indicate rank or unit details. His WW2 enlistment Attestation Paper notes his previous Boer War service.
