Son of Thomas Osborne and Sarah Osborne of Brunswick, Melbourne, Victoria formerly of Belfast, Ireland.

On the 8 May 1919 Terence married Annie Stone nee Payne in St. Annie's Church, Lambeth, London, England. Vicar George Francis Heln officiated.

Commenced return to Australia on 3 July 1919 aboard HT Zealandia disembarking on 23 August 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney
