Husband of Annie Mrytle Underwood nee Northridge of Mount Pleasant, SA. James and Annie married on 3 May 1911 ar the residence of John Northridge, Mount Pleasant, SA

Commenced return to Australia on 1 August 1919 aboard HT Argyllshire disembarking on 18 September 1919
