Private Henry Anderson (Service No:V361896) served in the ACMF with 20th Battalion (Vic) VDC from 24 March 1942 to 1 October 1945.
Henry was born in Beaufort, Victoria in 1890, sixth of ten children of Henry Littlejohn Anderson (b1852 in Selkirkshire, Scotland) and Julia Wilkinson (b1854 in Bacchus Marsh, Victoria). Henry Snr immigrated with his parents and siblings in 1885, arriving in Geelong, Victoria on board the Marchioness of Salisbury. Henry Snr was a Farmer at Buangor in 1881 when he and Julia married in Ararat. They lived in Buangor before settling at Trawalla where they raised their family and Henry Snr was a Farmer.
Henry worked as a Labourer (Miner and Wood Cutter) in Trawalla and in 1918 in Beaufort, married Theresa Catherine Bending (b1894 in Beaufort, Victoria). Henry and Theresa settled in Beaufort where they raised their family and Henry was a Labourer, Miner and Forestry Worker/Wood Cutter. Henry died in 1957 and Theresa in 1972.
