Mother remarried - Elizabeth Ellen BRAMMER, 72 Sydenham Street, Marrickville, NSW
Rupert served in Egypt and France and was wounded at Bullecourt in May 1917. He returned to duty 22 August 1917 and saw action at Felurbaix, Lagnicourt, Vaux, Bullecourt, and the Somme offensive. He was invalided to Australia and discharged as medcially unfit after the loss of his left eye caused by an exploding bomb.
