Biography contributed by Chris Buckley

Sapper Isaac Leonard Power (Service No:N103328) enlisted in the ACMF in January 1941 and was attached to EC Maintenance Coy when he Discharged in August 1947. He provided a false birthdate on enlistment to appear younger, and had served in WWI (Private; Service No:4215) in Egypt/Palestine with 14th Light Horse Cavalry Regiment and 12th Light Horse Regiment.

Born in 1891 in Eulo via Thargominda QLD, Isaac (aka on occasion as Leonard) was the eldest of five children (and only son) of William Henry Power and Elizabeth Helena Moore. Married in 1891 in Eulo QLD, William and Elizabeth had moved their family to Temora, NSW by 1906 and later to Parkes, NSW. William worked as a Carpenter and Labourer.

Isaac worked as a Labourer in Tottenham via Parkes NSW, and in 1912 married Frances Evelyn Rose Coffee (b1895 in Moama, NSW). The couple settled in Parkes NSW and were living separately by the early 1930s. Isaac stated he was single and a Farmer when he enlisted in the ACMF in 1941, initially providing his mother as his NoK.

Following his Discharge in August 1947, Isaac settled in Redfern, Sydney NSW where he worked as a Labourer. Isaac died in 1960.
