Victor was the son of Victor Ogilvie Snr (b1893 in Bundaberg QLD) and Ethel Mary McWilliam (b1892 in Taree, NSW). Victor (a Labourer) and Erhel married in Bundaberg, QLD in 1922. They lived in Maroondan, Longreach, Bundaberg and Maryborough in QLD where Victor Snr worked as a Labourer.
In 1944 Victor was a Clerk in Bundaberg, QLD when he enlisted in the RAAF. He was a Leading Aircraftman (Service No:51614) attached to Laverton Transport and Departure Centre when he was Discharged in May 1948. That year he married Edna Daisy Lorraine Coombes (b1927 in Maffra, Victoria) in Maffra where he settled and worked as a Clerk. Victor died in 2011.
