Son of Robert Llewellyn SPOONER and Clara nee MURRAY, 5 Gladstone Street, Mudgee, NSW
Charles Spooner was born in Mudgee in 1909. After serving in the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II, Charles returned to Mudgee where as a gifted pianist he was heavily involved in the Mudgee Musical Society. He was also a talented artist, holding many exhibitions, and devoted the later part of his life to the arts and Mudgee. Charles was a founding member of the Mudgee Arts council and patron of the Mudgee Garden Club.
