Hidden photo of Private Kester
I volunteer at the Port Adelaide Historical Society Museum: accessioning, photographing, scanning, repairing, whatever. Just the other day I removed the backing of a framed print of an unknown clipper ship in the hope of finding some more information only to discover amongst the padding, a beautifully preserved photo of Private Kester; the very same photo as shown on the VWM website. Incredible.
If any relatives are interested, pls. contact the Museum.
