Private Harry Brown (Service No:V365299) served in the ACMF with 13th Battalion (Vic) VDC from 16 April 1942 to 8 April 1945.
Harry was born in Stratford, Victoria in 1897, third of seven children of Charles Brown (b1867 in Ararat, Victoria) and Elizabeth Mary Mildenhall (b1864 in Tullamarine, Victoria). Charles (a Labourer) and Elizabeth married in 1890 in Sale, Victoria and settled in Stratford, where they raised their family and Charles was a Labourer.
Harry worked as a Labourer in Stratford, and in 1929 in Frankston married Maude May Morriss (b1905 in Oakleigh, Victoria). Harry and Maude settled at Mewburn Park, Tinamba via Maffra, where they raised their family and Harry was a Farmer. Harry died in 1979 and Maude in 1997.
