Private Royal Gordon McPherson (Service No:V360164) served in the ACMF with 14th Battalion (Vic) VDC from 10 June 1942 to 21 September 1945.

Born in Warracknabeal, Victoria in 1902, Roy was fourth of ten children of Robert John Gordon McPherson (b1869 in Brim, Victoria) and Amalie (Millie) Marie Landt (b1877 in Rupanyup, Victoria). Robert was a Farmer in 1897 when he and Millie married in Warracknabeal. They settled in the district - Borum, Cannum, Brim - where they raised their family and Robert was a Farmer.

Roy studied in Melbourne, where in 1927 when he married Lorna Kleen Myra Noonan (b1906 in Doncaster, Melbourne, Victoria), Roy and Lorna settled at Benalla where they raised their family and Roy was a Farmer. Roy died in 1986 and Lorna in 2001.
