Private Wilfred Adrian Lightbody (Service No:V359991) served in the ACMF with 14 Battalion VDC from 23 May 1942 to 21 September 1945.

Wilfred was born at Cape Bridgewater via Portland, Victoria in 1890, fourth of six children of William John Lighbody (b1853 in Warrnambool, Victoria) and Ann (Annie) Cameron Campbell (b1863 at Staffordshire reef, Victoria). William (a Farmer) and Annie married in Mt Richmond in 1884 and settled at Cape Bridgewater via Portland where they raised their family and William was a Farmer.

Wilfred had lived in Burrereo via Minyip since 1910 and was working as a Labourer in 1934 when he married Myrtle May Victoria Pipkorn (b1902 in Minyip, Victoria). Wilfred and Myrtle settled in Burrereo via Minyip where they raised their family and Wilfred was a Labourer and Farmer until his death in 1955. Myrtle died in 1988.
