"PACK, Walter Harding. Private, No. 465, 6th Rfts., 11th M.G.C. Born and educated at Cambridge, England. The son of Alfred Pack, of Bayswater Terrace, Townsville. Enlisted in June, 1916, at Brisbane, and left Australia for England on the 6th December 1916, by the "Orsova," and went into camp at Grantham, England. Trained there six weeks and was then drafted to France on the 6th May, and was killed in action close to Zonnebeke on the 4th October, 1917." - from Queenslanders Who Fought in the Great War.
