Biography

Phillip Wynter Robinson BLICK was born on 7th August 1883 in Pokolbin, NSW

His parents were Wynter Vine BLICK and Sarah Jane SUTCLIFFE

He married Una Ermine JARMAIN in 1910 in "Brewongle" Canaga, Chinchilla, Queensland & had four children Claude, Elvan, Daphne & Eric

On 1st October 1915 he enlisted as a Sapper with 6th Field Company Engineers, 4th Re-inforcements - unit embarked from Sydney on HMAT Orsova on 11th March 1916.   While he was serving he contracted TB and was also gassed.  He returned to Australia on 17th March, 1917 & was admitted to Boddington Red Cross Hospital at Wentworth Falls and not expected to live but he recovered  enough & ended up working as a Carpenter at the Blue Mountains District Hospital in Katoomba.  His wife & children came from Queensland to join him

BLICK. June 26, 1940 at Katoomba,  Phillip Blick of Nephin, Abbotsford Rd. Katoomba (lae of the 6th Field Engineers A.I.F.  dearly beloved husband of Una and dear father of Claude, Elvin, Daphne (Mrs. F , Renous of Lane Cove) and Eric - aged 57 years

His son Claude Wynter Arthur BLICK was in the Aif Force in WW2 and died in 1942 in Canada
