Biography contributed by Barker Gary

After his discharge, Wally, wife Dulcie (Enid) and four children, were living on Oakhurst Station (east of West Wyalong),  circa 1950. The overseer was (ex TPR) Leslie Stansfield and farm manager was (Ex MAJ) Mathew Robinson, both of the 2/4 Armoured Regiment who had also served in New Guinea.

Les was selected as a Soldier Settler and moved to King Island in 1956 and Wally was later selected as a Soldier Settler on Flinders Island, also in Tasmania.
