Son of Joseph Josiah GREEN and Matilda nee DOWNING
Whilst serving in Singapore Alfred was reported missing in action. Later confirmed he was a Prisoner of war with the Japanese Army being held in Changhi Prison. He was recovered and returned home to Australia late 1945.
