"...Company Sergeant Major (CSM) Bert 'Tissy' Adams Bell, 28th Battalion, of Cottesloe Beach, WA. A draughtsman prior to enlistment, CSM Bell embarked from Fremantle on HMAT Ascanius on 29 June 1915. He was promoted to Second Lieutenant (2nd Lt), and was later killed in action on 29 July 1916, at Pozieres, France, aged 21." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
