REV. J. A. FORREST

Rev James Alexander Forrest one of the best-known Presbyterian ministers in Victoria died yesterday at Ballarat For three weeks he had acted as relief minister for Rev Dr Button, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church In Victoria at St Andrew s Church, Ballarat. MrForrest began his ministry at Buninyong, and had charge of presbyteries at North Carlton, St George's Geelong and Canterbury. He was minister at Canterbury for l8 years and had one of the largest Presbyterian congregations in Australla. He retired from Canterbury Church in 1936, and acted as pastor at Scots Church, Collins St for 3 years. Mr. Forrest Is survived by a daughter, Mrs N Wardlaw, Hawthorn and a son Rev J F Forrest who is a prisoner of war in Greece. The funeral will arrive at Burwood Cemetery today at 3 45pm. Le Pine and Son have charge of the funeral arrangements.
