Private Ralph Leslie Sanderson (Service No:V35205) enlisted in the ACMF on 21 August 1940 and was posted as Signalman to 3 Division Signals. On 4 August 1941 he was transferred to Area 39C.
Born in 1915 in Melbourne Victoria, Ralph was the eldest of two children of Leslie Chisholm Sanderson (b1885 in Melbourne, Victoria) and Ruby Gladys Evelyn Crook (b1893 in Seymour, Victoria). Leslie (a Clerk) and Ruby married in 1916 in Melbourne Victoria, where they settled and raised their family. Leslie worked as a Clerk and Traveller.
Ralph was a Clerk and lived with his parents in Melbourne. His mother died in 1968, and in 1980 Ralph retired and moved to Bairnsdale in Gippsland, Victoria where he died in 2003.
