Herbert Richard Pedersen is, according to his military records, Herbert Richard Pederson. His signature on these records clearly shows PEDERSEN, as does Birth, Deaths and Marriages [BDM] in Victoria. Curiously, the BDM shows his birth place as BIRREGUNA, not BIRREGURRA ...
