There is no memorial inscription on the family headstone to tell us that their only son fell during The Great War, and it is not possible to place a memorial cross, so I have placed poppies in remembrance of Raymond’s supreme sacrifice. ANGLICAN 2-127. 50.

I would like to see all family headstones inscribed with a memorial inscription to express the loss of a son or sons during The Great War.
