Brother of 43 Pte. Frank Broom (/explore/people/208626) who died of wounds in France on 28 Jun 1916

Sid Broom's remains were identified in time for the Centenary Commemoration of the Battle of Fromelle's, held at Phesant Wood Cemetery, on 19 Jul 2016, where the headstone over his final resting place was unveiled.
