Private Lyndon Stevens (Service No:462) enlisted in the AIF on 7 January 1914, having served three years in the Senior Cadets. Private Stevenson was attached to 13th Light Horse Regiment on 28 May 1915 when he embarked with his Unit from Melbourne on board HMAT A34 Persic. Private Stevens served in France with 13th Light Horse Regiment and 1st Anzac Army Corps Light Horse Regiment, and was WiA (GSW to thigh) on 25 September 1917. Private Stevens embarked from England for Melbourne on 5 April 1918 on board HT Borda, and was attached to 1st Light Horse Regiment at Discharge on 4 July 1918.

Born in Parkes, NSW in 1896, Lin was fourth of nine children of James Stevens (b1857 in Swansea, Tasmania) and Helen Watt (b1864 in Langley, Victoria). James (a Labourer) and Helen married in 1886 in Kyneton, Victoria and lived in Hotham, Victoria before moving to Parkes, NSW in 1891. James worked as a Labourer and Farmer, and by 1900 James and Helen had returned to Victoria where they lived in Cobden before settling in Melbourne by 1914. 

Lin worked as a Printer in Melbourne before enlisting in the AIF. Following his Discharge, he settled in Melbourne where he worked as a Printer, and in 1940 married Mary Dinah Richardson (b1907 in Abefeldy, Victoria) - Mary was a Textile Worker in Melbourne. Lin and Mary settled in Melbourne, where they raised their family and Lin worked as an Assembler, Lin died in 1973 and Mary in 1981.
