2 May 1941: Enlisted Australian Military Forces (WW2) , Private, WX12157
15 Feb 1942: Imprisoned He was wounded by gunshot on 10 Feb 1942 and captured on 15 Feb 1942 imprisoned in Changi; Later imprisoned in a Thailand Camp and worked on the Burma Railway. 24 Aug 1945 transfered to Fukuoka POW camp in Japan. Released in October 1945.
