The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published in 2017, refer to pages 186-189, 193, 199 & 266. Prior to the war he was a tailor of Alexandria NSW. He enlisted 17th May 1916 aged 18 years. He served with the 1st Infantry Battalion, his efforts were rewarded with him being awarded the Military Medal. He survived the war, and departed the UK for home 12th Dec 1918.
