Son of George Schofield and Emily Chambers of Dulwich, England formerly  of 65 Belvedere Road. Upper Norwood, London, England.

Brother of Norman Charles Schofield who was killed in action on 27 April 1915 while serving with the 15th Battalion. Norman was Buried in the Lone Pine Cemetery Row O, Grave 26
