Squadron Leader Frederick Anthony Owen Gaze D.F.C. Born February 3 1920, Melbourne, Australia. Died July 29 2013. Gaze shot down at least 12.5 enemy aircraft; and was three times awarded the DFC – one of only 47 men in the Second World War to be so honoured.
