Son of James SCANLON, Fentonbury, Tas.

SCANLON.-Killed in action, somewhere in France, on May 8, 1917, after two years service with the New Zealand Forces, Jim, eldest surviving son of James Scanlon, of Fentonbury, brother Jack (on active service). Cousin of late Private G. A. Ransley.
