LIEUT. DUNCAN G. IRVINE.
Mr. Duncan G. Irvine, an old Fort-street schoolboy, eldest son of Mr. S. 0. Irvine, has been promoted lieutenant in the motor machine gun service of the British Army. He was in Ireland when war was declared, and joined Kitchener’s army. After a special course of training in the Hythe School of Musketry, he left for France early in the year. The promotion gained by him was for services rendered in France and Flanders.
