BRUCE. -Killed in action May 8 1918, Pte. F. E. Bruce, in his 27th year, second eldest son of Mr and Mrs. Frank Bruce, of Randwick. Present address 58 Dowling street Redfern.
We who loved you, sadly miss you,
As it dawns another day
In our lonely hours of thinking
Thoughts of you will ever stray
I bow not my head in grief, dear Fred.,
Rather, hold it high with pride.
For you gave your life for your country's call,
As a hero you lived, and a hero you died.
