Son of Andrew and Mary Ann OLSEN
Husband of Irene Pearl Calver OLSEN nee WRIGHT, Atherton Road, Oakleigh, Vic.
Korumburra - Wednesday Robert Olsen, dairy farmer, of Bena, shot himself at his home early this morning. Olsen went to Melbourne in his motor-car on Monday, and on the return journey last night or this morning the car struck a root or tree a short distance from his home, and he arrived at his place on foot about 6 o'clock this morning. Olsen had a short conversation with his wife and went into his son's bedroom. Shortly afterwards a shot was heard and Mrs. Olsen entered the room and found her husband with the top of his held blown off. Mrs. Olsen could give no reason why her husband took his life, is there was no financial trouble. Olsen suffered from the effects of an operation, performed while he was on active service.
