Joined the army reserve in 1982 and served in a variety of local roles in Victoria. Commissioned in 1996 as a psychologist and transferred to the Navy in 2003 in search of greater adventure. Since then Ive deployed to Iraq, Middle East, South east Asia, the pacific- everywhere. The opportunities to make a difference for people and conduct my role in an operational setting has been a career highlight.
