Walter Alfred Tasman Kearney, son of Alfred Edward Percival Kearney and nephew of Walter Tasman Kearney (538). He was born in Port Fairy, Victoria in 1895. He was a fisherman who joined the navy (ID 1413). He married Olive Annie Sherburn in 1926 and they divorced in 1930, desertion by her. He then married Margaret Graham Cowie Pollock who was born in Victoria in 1897 and died in Port Fairy, Victoria in 1950.

Walter Alfred Tasman Kearney enlisted in the R.A.N. on August 2nd 1915, his hometown being Port Fairy. He was a fisherman who was accidentally drowned while tending his craypots in 1939. His body was found on the Warnambool beach some two weeks later.
