Mr George Townsend, Commissioner of Patents, was notified on Saturday, by cable from the Secretary, Air Ministry. London, in regard to his eldest son, Lieut. Harold Ernest Leslie Townsend, as follows; "Regret to inform you that Lieutenant H. E. Townsend, Royal Air Force, is reported missing on May 21."
