1931 - Mr. Hellier Le Lacheur, who has succeeded Mr. H.M. Dingle as head teacher of Grange School, was transferred from Birdwood where he was in charge for 8 months. After service abroad in the war, Mr. Le Lacheur was for 10 years teaching at Victor Harbor. While there he was actively associated with a number of local organisations. He was at various periods president of Victor Harbor Institute, of the local sub-branch of Returned Sailors and Soldiers' Imperial League, and of the debating club.
Mr. Le Lacheur took his arts degree in 1915. About six years before that he opened the high school at Naracoorte. He also taught at Unley, Norwood, and Wallaroo Mines. He is being ably assisted at the seaside town by an active school committee.
