Son of Jonathan and Emma Matilda Owen, of Larkin St., Bay Road, North Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
On the 10th July 1917 the SS Seang Choon was torpedoed and sunk by German submarine U-87 off the Fastnet when on voyage from Sydney to London. Nineteen lives were lost.
