Son of Mrs. Bacchus, of Otaki, and the late Capt. G. H. Bacchus, of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; husband of Enid Ellis (formerly Bacchus), of 12, Clifton Rd., Takapuna, Auckland.

Corporal John Harold Bacchus and Lance-Corporal Ralph Lancelot Bacchus, both of the New Zealand Infantry. They were the second and third sons of the late Captain G. H. Bacchus, 7th Dragoon Guards and New South Wales Artillery, and Mrs. Bacchus, Otaki, New Zealand. The two brothers fell in action on the
same day — September 15 last year.
Mr. R. L. Bacchus leaves a wife (daughter of the late Mr. R. H. Harnett) and two children.
His Brother John Harold Bacchus was born in Borneo and is therefore not eligible for listing on the VWMA
